What is GPT Image 2.5?
OpenAI’s image model for creating images from text and editing the images you upload.
It comes in two versions, Flare and Sunburst. OpenAI describes Flare as its fastest option for everyday image generation, and Sunburst as its most capable, for work where editing precision matters most.
In RSW AI Studio both versions share the same controls and the same credit quote, so you can choose by task and switch at any time in the workspace above.

Use the uploaded product as the subject. Replace the background with a warm ivory studio and add a soft shadow beneath it. Keep the product shape, label wording, colors and camera angle unchanged. Add no new text or objects.

Frequently asked questions
Can GPT Image 2.5 edit an existing image?
Yes. Upload the image as a reference and describe the change, such as a new background, material or lighting. Name the details that should stay the same, then check them in the result.
Can I use more than one reference image?
Yes, up to 16. Say what each one contributes, for example the product from the first image and the lighting from the second.
How do I get a transparent background?
Set Background to Transparent and choose PNG or WebP output. JPEG cannot store transparency, and writing “transparent” in the prompt alone is not enough.
Does GPT Image 2.5 support 4K?
Yes. 4K is one of the size options, and custom dimensions go up to 3840 pixels per side. The exact pixel size depends on the aspect ratio you choose.
Do I need a ChatGPT subscription or an OpenAI API key?
No. RSW AI Studio is a separate service with its own account and credits. You don’t need a ChatGPT plan or your own API key to generate images here.
How do I choose between GPT Image 2.5 and GPT Image 2.0?
They are separate models with separate workspaces. Run the same prompt and reference on both, then compare the details and credit quotes that matter to you. A default GPT Image 2.5 image costs 6 credits.
